We built Rewire to be genuinely private. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Rewire ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Rewire mobile application and the website at tryrewire.app. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through our App.

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the App.

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, camera access, or any biometric data.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data to any third party.
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the App. Each is governed by its own privacy policy.

None of these services are permitted to use data we share with them for their own advertising purposes under our agreements with them.
If you grant permission, we may send you daily affirmation reminders and occasional encouragement nudges at the time you choose. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device's notification settings or within the Rewire app (Settings → Notifications).
We do not send promotional or advertising push notifications.
We retain your data for as long as your anonymous profile exists or as needed to provide the service. If you delete the App, your anonymous profile and associated data remain in our systems for up to 90 days before being purged, to allow for re-installation and restore.
To request immediate deletion of your data, email hello@tryrewire.app with subject line "Delete My Data". We will action your request within 30 days.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under GDPR including: the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interests (operating and improving the App) and consent (push notifications, optional email).
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@tryrewire.app.

Rewire is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we become aware that a child under 17 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is protected by our database provider's (Supabase) security infrastructure.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take our obligation seriously.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. For material changes, we will provide in-app notice. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
